Hey folks! It's been a hot minute. Most of the "launched" features in March have been around small quality-of-life improvements.

But we've been quietly working behind the scenes getting ready for the Betafi Mobile Participant Experience! If you're interested in testing it out, please drop us a line, and we can add you to our Apple TestFlight & Google Play Store Betas. We are targeting an April launch for Betafi on mobile, and we can't wait to share more with you as we inch closer to the release date.

Anyways, on to our regularly scheduled update...

New Feature Highlights from March:

• Ability to add a Betafi session reminder to your calendar (via ical, Google Calendar support coming as soon as Google approves our Calendar API access 😅)
• Notifications galore (participant invite emails, reminders for upcoming sessions, notification when the participant joins a session, and when your video + transcript are ready to view!)
• "Presence Avatars" for participants and observers on a live session: now you'll know the instant your colleague hops on as an observer
• Proper timezone support for inviting participants across timezones

Improvements:

• Fix for some sites failing to load in the Betafi prototype sharing window. Do reach out if you ever encounter a site that doesn't work with Betafi!
• Countdown timer for participants in the "waiting room" in case they join the session early
• Our landing page doesn't make our eyes bleed anymore (thanks to the talented folks at The Data Duck).

We also spent a bunch of time in March recruiting, interviewing, and hiring our first batch of engineering interns! We were absolutely floored by the level of response we got to the initial posting, and it was heartbreaking to have to turn down so many promising candidates.

Hopefully in April we'll have so many new things to report on here that we have to start posting these updates daily. A CTO can dream. 🤞
